Using todays technology I can create layers of trance music  by playing my various instruments live into digital loop systems. My set up  includes Flutes... american indian and traditional..I sing, play Tablas { classical indian hand drums , Tibetian bowls, gong, Electric auto harp,and various guitars.  With echo and loops I create a  live sound collage of which I will sing/channel a spontaneous narative that is relevent to the gathering. As an option I also do a duet with the extrordinary Ron Crose. He is an Aboriginal trained master of the didgerredo www.mitchimcroce.com  My set up includes the PA system I need to play for several hundred people and an optional light show with suttle beautiful visuals. I have played for small gatherings in the living rooms of psychics all the way up to large events for hundreds of people. Spiritual retreats, psychic fairs, Yoga conventions, weddings and channelings are among my specialties. Since 1989 I have recorded and released ten CDs of meditative ambiant original compositions. What I do can be tailored for visualization meditations where everyone is laying down with thier eyes closed or inter active sound track for mental spiriual processes or full moon dancing ceremonies. I started singing playing flutes, guitar, hand drums, and composing in1969. My intrest in music grew out of my fasination with states of higher consiousness that was very much a part of the literature and lyrical content of many of the songs of that period. Right away I was drawn to the use of echo and how simple beautiful shimmering passages could affect the frame of mind of the listener. I became aware of how the vibrations that are music seemed to be directly infused with the vibratory pulasting passage of our day to day lives. To me that music is a language outside time and space that can come together geometrically with the emotional spiritual pattern of the listener to form a new etheral living entity. And this entity can reach back and elevate both the source and the receiver to this newly formed plateau of experience.  With this in mind I watched electronic music bloosom and followed the evolution of it. Between 1969 and 1989 I directed my energies toward writing, recording and working with different combinations of instuments through varios echos and other effects until finally releasing my first ambient recording in the summer of 1989 called RIVER CITY. Part of what made this recording work was that in 1972 i was lucky enough to study tablas under the world renowned classical indian music virtuoso Zakir Hussain. With his infuence over time I was able to refine my rhythmic techniques and get a grasp on how the pulsating human body connects to the dynamics of music and in turn how this triggers our emotions. This allowed me to set up a solid foundation on which to build my idea of consciousness expanding musical passages. Shortly after I released my 1989 recording a brain wave study in Arizona at the Nasa Industrial Applications center put RIVER CITY through a series of brain wave tests and said it helped increase subliminal awarness. A few weeks later a stanger who had recentley obtained RIVER CITY came up to me after a live appearance and told me that a few days earlier his lover died and had insisted on my music being played during their passage because it made them feel spiritual. At that instant I knew my purpose in life had been revealed to me. A year later in '92 I received the phone call to become the flute player for the best experience of my life musicaly and spiritually, the Lynn Andrews joshua Tree gatherings. And more recently I have been bleesed here in '09  with the other best experience musicaly and spiritually of my life, the Earth-Keeper events with James Tyberonn. Over the last 20 years I have had countless stories told to me on how my recordings have assisted people visualizing higher states,  dealing with pain, learning to relax, asisting with focus at work, meditaton, and general well being. These days I try to work directly with the combined sub conscious creative energy of the entire gathering and to spontaneously interact with it and create a live musical passage with a singing narative that is essentially born from the colective goal of all those involved. My aim is that this will enhance the visualization process and help create a union of our internal and external dialogue with the living moment.
